Frequently Asked Questions
1. Are they durable?
Yes, they are generally more durable than traditional panels as they are part of the roof itself. They are designed to withstand harsh weather conditions and have fire-resistant properties.
2. What are the benefits of solar energy?
Solar energy helps you cut down on electricity bills and gives you peace of mind as prices rise. Once installed, solar tiles generate power from sunlight, which means less reliance on grid electricity — and more savings.
Here’s how you benefit:
- Lower bills – The more you pay now, the more you save with solar.
- Extra savings – Some areas offer tax benefits or rebates for going solar.
- Protection from rising rates – As electricity gets costlier, your solar savings grow.
- Smart usage, bigger impact – If your system produces enough, your bills could drop to almost zero.
No matter where you live, choosing solar keeps your energy costs low, stable, and predictable for years to come.
3. Will my solar tiles produce energy on days which aren’t very sunny?
The amount of electricity generated depends on the amount of sunlight which reaches the tiles. There will be a small drop in the level of power generated if the tiles are shaded and they will not produce energy at night. However, using the latest technology in the manufacture of photovoltaic products, denominated by the acronym CIGS, we can guarantee we are offering the most effective technology for generating solar power in shaded areas.
Using this technology we obtain high performance, highly-efficient solar cells which are also environmentally friendly as they are made from copper, indium, gallium and selenide and are free of cadmium and lead.
4. What is the maintenance required for solar roof tiles?
Similar to traditional panels, regular cleaning and occasional inspections are recommended to optimize performance.
Manufacturers may have specific maintenance guidelines for their products.
